Update on Decaying Work

I finally had the time to place one of my pieces back into nature. So far so good, it’s been probably over a month, and it has not been tampered with by anyone. It is slowly degrading into the old log it is sitting on. Recently in the northern part of PA, we had our first snow of the season; oh, exciting. The snow has fallen and has changed the atmosphere and feeling of the piece. The fall light passed through the tree only a month ago, eventually shining on the work. Yet now, the paint is starting to wear off and dissipate into the snow, as winter is right around the corner. The soft clay material is beginning to turn back into mud. It’s genuinely exciting, and I will continue documenting the process.
